Air Abrasion

Many patients' fear of the dentist stems from the drill used to treat tooth decay. In our office, we use the gentle process known as air abrasion. This decay-removing process is virtually pain-free as the dentist can control the speed of the spray of air/powder mix as well as the intensity. There is generally no need for shots with this new technology. It's also free of the noise and vibration associated with the old drill.

When the decay is removed, the dentist places a white filling that is barely noticeable! The process allows us to treat the decay immediately and restore your tooth before more damage can be done. Air abrasion can also repair fractured teeth, old fillings, sealants or broken restorations.

Laser Cavity Detection

Did you know that half of the cavities found in your teeth could go undetected by current diagnostic techniques? However, our office now offers a new diagnostic method that can more accurately define caries in teeth.

We offer a unique service that can detect caries at the earliest stage. The laser cavity detection technology we use is over 90 percent accurate in detecting even the smallest lesions that don’t even appear on X-rays! Early detection enables us to better preserve and protect your teeth.

Laser cavity detection boasts a high patient acceptance and satisfaction with its quick, simple and painless nature.

Digital Imaging

We offer one of the latest technological advances in dentistry with digital radiography (X-rays). A wireless sensor is placed in the mouth, and a computer generates an image in 30 seconds as opposed to the general 4-6 minute wait time for images taken on dental film. These X-rays can also be enhanced on the computer and enlarged.

Not only are they friendly to the environment, they are much safer than traditional X-rays. Digital radiographs reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent!

Under Armor Mouthguards

Your Jaw Could Help You Perform Better While Playing Sports
Years ago, ancient Greek athletes, Vikings and Roman warriors all channeled their determination and focus by biting down on something while competing or fighting. Greek athletes bit down on leather straps, and Viking and Roman warriors chomped down on leather bits. Using their jaws during competitions and battles helped in some way, but this theory was never researched or proven until now.

Under Armour Performance Mouthwear™
Strength, power, determination and focus are all in you. You can now have a form of release by clenching your teeth, an instinctive reflex. Whether you play a rough contact sport or simply want to improve your personal performance, the Under Armour Performance Mouthwear™, with ArmourBite™ Technology, can help you!

UA Performance Mouthpieces can help you increase your strength, increase your endurance and speed up your reaction time. They also offer many physical benefits, including reducing athletic stress and reducing the impact that clenching has on your jaw joint. UA Performance Mouthguards also provide dental protection customized specifically for your teeth.

Intra-Oral Camera

The standard X-ray is essential in determining any dental problems you may have, but unfortunately, it may not reveal everything happening inside your mouth. We are proud to utilize an intraoral camera in our office.

An intraoral camera can project an image of your tooth onto a monitor, so you can see the problem in a magnified version and how we can correct the issue. It can also identify problems that may not be detected by the general means of examination, including cracks in your fillings or fractured teeth. Similar to the size and design of a dental mirror, an intraoral camera allows you to make better decisions regarding your treatment as you can see the same things we see.
